Dr. Judith Thompson
Chairman of the Board of Practicing Physicians of America
Dr. Thompson is a solo, independent General surgeon with a special interest in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the breast. She has renewed her oath and devoted herself to her patients and profession and is enjoying the fruits of that commitment.
She is a graduate of Texas A&M University (B.S. Biochemistry), The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (M.D.) and completed a General Surgery residency with a year of scientific research in the immune response to trauma at East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine.
She completed the Physician CEO Executive Education program in 2018, a life-changing experience that she recommends to any physician interested in changing their self and world perspective, developing new goals, strategies and a new life in this rapidly changing environment.
Dr. Thompson has been a physician advocate since 2014, participated in the development of the LetMyDoctorPractice Movement , helped to put on the Summit at the Summit and now is Chairman of the Board of Practicing Physicians of America, a physician’s advocacy group with a commitment to patient safety and physician autonomy; a place where physicians are rallying to reestablish the primacy of the relationship between a patient and their physician.
